The UCLA Unlearning Racism in the Geosciences (URGE) Pod was started in March of 2021 to evaluate and combat racism in the Geosciences at our institution. We are one of many pods located among various institutions to try to create lasting structural change. We strive to be an actively anti-racist group by evaluating and creating policy following the guidelines given by the main URGE program!
